The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is a National War Memorial honoring the members of the US Armed Forces who died or are unaccounted for during the Vietnam War. It is not a monument to the Vietnam War. It is a monument to people that gave their lives serving their country.
The National World War II Memorial is located at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. President Bill Clinton signed a law mandating that it be built, and appointed an advisory board to oversee the process.
The Washington Monument was built to commemorate George Washington for his leadership in the Revolutionary War.
I'm not entirely sure myself, having the same question, but I did a bit of research. As far as I can tell, it was built from Portland limestone in England, and it was built because New Zealand was unable to bring home their dead from the first world war, and built the monument as a lasting memorial.
Which war memorial? There are thousands of them around the world.
Two are quite close to the Lincoln Memorial: Vietnam War and Korean War. The World War Two Memorial is about half way between Lincoln and Washington Monument.
The Vietnam War Memorial is in Washington DC.
There are several other monuments or statues near the Vietnam monument. The Korean War Memorial Monument is directly south, The National World War II Memorial is Southwest, The Lincoln Memorial is Southeast down Henry Becon Dr, The Washington Monument is due East on Constitution Ave.
"Monument to living veterans" honors living veterans, several others such as "Korean war monument, viet nam war monument, and WWII monument" are more specific, however don't have the name "veteran" in their title. I got a test and the right answer is actually "Vietnam Veterans Memorial" I swear this is right!! -someone else then the person above
