The Tapi river is a river in central India, in Gujarat passing from Surat and Songadh.
The Tapi River, also known as the Tapti River, rises in the Satpura Range of hills in central India. Specifically, it originates near the village of Multai in the Betul district of Madhya Pradesh. The river flows westward through the states of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat before emptying into the Arabian Sea.
Tapi Mahi and Narmada
Being from Surat, India, I can say that locals call the river the "Tapti" river. However, some English maps call it the "Tapi" river, which is incorrect.
The Tapi River drains into the Arabian Sea. The Arabian Sea is located in the Middle East, just south of the nation of Yemen.
Narmada and Tapi are the only rivers that forms estuaries in India
