Technically, at the Huron Swamp in Oakland County and adjacent to the Indian Springs Metropark. That's where you can first see it. But, the Huron has 24 tributaries and they all start in headwater streams too.
Into Lake Huron (obviously.....)
Hull's Trace North Huron River Corduroy Segment was created in 1812.
Lake Superior drains into Lake Huron through the St Marys River.
One New York State river that receives water flowing from Lake Huron is the St. Lawrence River. The St. Lawrence River serves as a natural outlet for the Great Lakes, including Lake Huron, as it flows eastward into the Atlantic Ocean. Water from Lake Huron enters the St. Lawrence River through the Straits of Mackinac and Lake Michigan, ultimately contributing to the river's flow and ecosystem.
The St. Clair River connects Lake Huron to Lake St. Clair. It flows southward from Lake Huron, forming part of the boundary between the United States and Canada. The river plays a crucial role in the Great Lakes water system.
Lake Huron is primarily fed by the Saint Marys River, which connects it to Lake Superior. Additionally, various rivers and streams contribute to its inflow, including the Ausable River and the Thames River. Lake Huron also receives water from precipitation and runoff in its surrounding watershed.
The lake that connects Lake Erie and Lake Huron, besides the Detroit River and Lake St. Clair, is Lake Huron itself. Specifically, water flows from Lake Erie into the Detroit River, which then leads to Lake St. Clair and subsequently into the Saint Clair River. The Saint Clair River ultimately connects to Lake Huron, facilitating the movement between these two Great Lakes.
