As far as I know, the hanatavirus cases originated in people who lived in the hard-sided cabins in Yosemite Valley's Curry Village. This was supposedly due to the deer mice burrowing into the insulation and when people swept their cabins, they inhaled the contaminants and were infected.
The Rim Fire in Yosemite started in August of 2013. It was finally extinguished in October of 2013.

Yep, there is normally always snow in Yosemite in various places in the park. In fact, Yosemite always has ice because there are two active glaciers in Yosemite National Park currently. Although, usually the snow disappears from the valley in the spring and wildflowers start to take over the valley.
It depends on the exact location of where you plan to start and end, hwever, the distance I saw on Google Maps was 153 miles. This means that it should take about 3 hours to drive from Reno to Yosemite National Park.
