Your heart is located in the left upper quadrant of the torso. (Your left, not the left of whoever is looking at you.)

To approximate the location (and size):

* extend your thumb and pinkie of your right hand as far to the sides as you can, bending the other 3 fingers. * place your thumb on the central notch in your collar bone and your pinky as far down your sternum (breast bone) as it comfortably falls with your thumb in place. * leaving your pinkie touching where it is, bring the rest of your hand down and to the left, forming a fist * Your fist symbolizes the size and location of your heart. Your heart shares the thoracic cavity with your lungs and stomach.
