There was a small settlement in 1559 that was founded by Tristan de Luna, a Spanish explorer. A base was founded by the Spanish in Pensacola in 1698.
The first post-explorer settlement in Michigan was Sault Ste. Marie, founded by French missionaries in 1668. This settlement played a significant role in the fur trade and served as a key location for connecting the Great Lakes region.

From my reasearch it seems that the first post explorer settlement located in Colorado was around 1299 A.D. In the Mesa Verde region there is found what is called the Prehistoric Cliff Dwelling Civilization that can still be seen today.
He was a Viking explorer who explored Greenland and established two colonies there.
