Line art has no single creator, as it has evolved over centuries across various cultures and artistic movements. It can be traced back to ancient civilizations, where simple lines were used in cave paintings and early drawings. Throughout history, artists like Albrecht Dürer and modern illustrators have contributed to its development, using line art to convey form and detail without the use of color or shading. Today, it remains a popular style in graphic design and illustration.

Line is important in Art becasue its one of the main and first things people draw. Every single piece of art, someone has drawn, has line in it. If the line has been drawn wrong then the whole piece may be ruined but sometimes if the line has been drawn wrong then a new piece may be created without that person knowing it. That is why every single line is important in Art.
A closing line creates the element of shape in art. The closed line connects back to itself and encloses a space, defining the shape within it. This helps give structure and form to the artwork.
A contour line in art is an outline of a subject with no shading.
