why is the upper river with its fast flowing steep valley suitable for animal grazing
Because of the "steep valley sides" and the thin layer of soil (usually poor in nutrients and acidic) over a rocky subsoil.
A mountain stream, or a river flowing lower down in the valley.
CHAMBAL
Growth for grazing animals in the grasslands of the Rift Valley is dependent on annual rains.
Narmada River
Canyon
Rivers.
The glacier will melt eventually, and then form a valley, as well as water flowing through that valley; and it may even help form new valleys.
The wide valley floor is often used for agriculture due to its fertile soil and access to water sources. It typically serves as a location for farming, grazing livestock, and sometimes urban development. Additionally, these areas can be important for transportation routes, facilitating trade and movement between regions. The flat terrain also makes them suitable for recreational activities and settlements.
Try "canyon".
Because the water flowing throught it has not "caved" (erode) a deeper valley... yet, but over thousands of years that would happend.
