Sydney motorists are being warned of extensive road closures in the CBD this weekend for the same triathlon event that caused traffic gridlock last year.
The ITU triathlon will be held in and around the city on Saturday and Sunday, with some roads closed from 7pm on Friday, followed by others at 2am on Saturday and 4am on Sunday, the government's Transport Management Centre said.
The Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Cahill Expressway will be closed early on Sunday morning, but both will reopen at 11am.
