Technically you can play any army against any army, and any army with any army, except where rules specifically state that you may not (E.g. Black Templars may never ally with an army containing pyschers)

It would however be extremely unusual, but so long as you have a good background story, it should be fine.

What else should you buy after buying the assault on Black Reach kit?

That depends on which army you collect but probably a Tank and some Troops or a Battle Force. arons answer: orks- i would buy a ork boys shoota mob for the orks and then i would get something more heavy to back them up like some tank bustas or lootas and burnas, then finaly get some killa cans. put all the ork boys from black reach in one large mob because they work best in numbers and have those two boys squads leading you force have the nobs behind them and then the killa cans and deff koptas behind them and put the warboss in the squad with the nobs. space marines- get a scout squad (with snipers or normal, snipers are better for long range and normal scouts can be long range or close combat) get a tank or plane thats good at shooting other foot models(ie hundreds of orks like a tank with a heavy 4 weapon on it ) and a command squad. if i were you i would keep your space marines out of close combat because the orks will screw them over especially if they charge. after you have those think more about getting advanced squads like kommandos for the orks or a assault squad for the space marines, if you want to keep your armies even then dont buy loads of stuff for one army, keep it even get an upgrade for the orks then for the space marines dont get all the ork stuff first then the space marine stuff when your done otherwise you would not be able to play them against each other. aron :)

Can you make your Space Marines into Chaos Space Marines or do you have to buy specially made Chaos Space Marines?

You can do it yourself, all you'd need to do is add a few spikes here and there, and then it's all up to how you paint it. If you paint on a few demon faces here and there, as well as the mark of Chaos, they'd be convincing enough to pass as Chaos Space Marines.

Can chaos deamons go in the chaos space marines?

Only certain ones, and you have to summon them. Look up how to in the chaos space marines codex. I believe they come in like reserves and you have to sacrifice an HQ.

Can necrons team up with chaos space marines?

Theoretically, any faction can team up with another, as long as you have a good enough reason. Technically, Necrons and Chaos are enemies, so they would never 'team up', per se, but one could create a feasible story in which they both work to exterminate the Imperium. They wouldn't be working 'together' (because Necrons would kill any living thing--including Chaos Marines--on sight) but they would have the same goal.

Do space marine armies have titans?

They can but only in Apocalypse battles as most titans are very expensive. For example the Reaver Titan is around 1400 points so generally most people play them in 3000+ battles. I believe most armies have a "Super Unit." The necrons have their C'tan. The imperial guard and space marines have Titans, orks the squiggoth etc. Those that don't either have an unparrelled ability to field hordes of units to make up for it, or very tough units. Hope this helps.

Are orks a good army?

Answer That's a pretty wide question... On the one hand, orks are an unruly, unpredictable mob who's weapons are just as likely to blow up in their faces as reduce a squad of Marines to goo...if they even manage to hit... their shooting is atrocious and, with a BS of just 2, your not particularly likely to hit a thing, unless you go for a really gun-heavy army. On the other hand, orks have some of the best weapons in the game, both at range and up close and personal. The Shokk Attack Gun is capable is instant killing a full unit of Grey Knight Terminators, while your Nob squad carves up a party of Howling Banshees with 'Uge Choppas and Power Klaws... Even your most basic Ork Boy has an impressive 3 str 4 attacks on the charge, courtesy of the furious charge rule, available to every member of a greenskin army (except the grots, of course). Orks are also one of the most versatile armies in the 40k universe. They have a unit for every eventuality. Tank-hunters to rokkit-jumpers. Stealthily creeping through a jungle, or charging at the enemy, guns firing wildly. Whatever you want out of an army, the orks will have it in some form or another... In my opinion, orks are simply one of the most entertaining armies to play...winning is just a bonus.

Where can one go to sign up for the Marines?

One can sign up for the Marines directly on the Marines website. Those in the United States for example would go onto the Marines website and contact a recruiter.

Which army's in Warhammer 40000 can team up with the tyranids?

Answer Tyranids are always tricky to team up with, due to their mildly annoying habit of eating everything near them... However, if you play a genestealer cult army, then you can ally them with Guard, Orks or Tau. Fluff-wise, this allows you to say that the genestealers have implanted their geneseed into these races in order to infiltrate their bases, or gain access to technology.
