Kids in the 1800's played with wooden tops that spin, hoops that you hit with a stick to keep them wheeling down the road and kites.They played with porcelin dolls, knitted dolls or "rag dolls". Did you know, they still played soccer then!

Most of the toys played with in the 1880's were homemade toys. Or toys made by local craftspeople. Homemade dolls were popular. Tin toys became famous during this error as did toys made with other metals.
