How do you play Hearts, step by step?

1. Hearts is a card game played with a standard deck of 52 cards.
2. The goal is to have the lowest score by avoiding collecting hearts and the Queen of Spades.
3. Each player is dealt 13 cards and passes three cards to another player.
4. The player with the 2 of Clubs starts the game by playing a card.
5. Players must follow suit if possible, otherwise they can play any card.
6. The player with the highest card of the leading suit wins the trick and starts the next round.
7. Hearts cannot be played until they have been "broken" by a player unable to follow suit.
8. The player with the highest card in a trick containing hearts or the Queen of Spades wins the trick.
9. At the end of each round, players tally their points based on the cards they collected.
10. The game continues until a player reaches a predetermined score, usually 100 points, to determine the winner.
