On Gamesworkshop, Mini War Gaming, Beasts of War. There are plenty of tips to make terrain. First thing you need to do is to get a board to begin construction of how large you want it to be. Static grass or stone tile look from terrain building for war gaming can be found all around the net. Also keep in mind, Warhammer 40k has GOTHIC scenery, so if you want the right feel, look at Aquila buildings at Games Workshop, or if you have the hand to sculpt it, look at modern day Gothic architecture for inspiration.
