There are two holes with buttons in them on the back of the tamagotchi. The bottom one resets the tamagotchi. The top one opens the battery cover. You need something small enough to fit in the hole(like a paperclip, toothpick, etc.) Press the button and then you will be able to slide the battery cover off.
it wont break. I've done it a million times. It doesnt do anything to your tamagotchi and if your tamagotchi's batteries die, then all you have to do is put new batteries in and instead of pressing reset, you press download. Does that answer your question?
They are probably either not the right battery, used batteries, or crappy batteries.
If it has rechargable batteries, open the back, take out the batteries and put them in a charger. When recharged, put back in the calculator. If it doesn't have rechargable batteries, just buy more batteries.
go to the the 5 th icon on the top screen then open it then go to special

On the bottom of the handle there is a screw, remove it and it will open the battery compartment.
To put batteries in a Catcha Beast toy, first locate the battery compartment, usually found on the bottom or back of the device. Open the compartment using a screwdriver or by sliding it open, depending on the design. Insert the batteries according to the polarity markings (+ and -) indicated inside the compartment. Finally, close the compartment securely to ensure the batteries are properly installed.
