6 Of course - assuming a cube die. There are other dice available (for playing D&D) which can have for example 4 (tetrahedral dice) or 20 (icosahedral dice) outcomes.
A standard cube die has 6. Other dice (as used by D&D players, etc) have 4 sides (tetrahedral dice), 8 sides (octahedral dice), 12 sides (dodecahedral dice) or 20 sides (icosahedral dice).
It can have many dice or a small amount of dice but the main dice in there is the d20 (die 20). The other dice are for damage though. But you need to have a certain amount of dice for players and monsters attacks. Example: someone uses a flaming longsword which say does 1d6+2d8+4 that mean you would roll one six sided die, then roll 2 8 sided dice, then add 4 to it then there's the damage that player or monster strikes with. There are three core handbooks which are the monster manual, the dungeon masters manual, and the players handbook. If you want to know which dice to use for attacks the main 2 you need are the Monster Manual, and the Players Handbook. I hope this helped you
you first need a D&D Players handbook (you can find one in a hobby/ book store if your playing 4e or you can find one on eBay if you aren't), you then need a character sheet (you can print one off from the wizards of the coast website), you then need 4 six sided dice. After you have all these follow the book.
A tetrahedron (a triangulat pyramid).
The answer is.... dots on a dice.
You spelled it correctly in your question.
21 spots on a dice
6 faces on a dice
a henagon is an 11 sided 2-D shape and a 3-D is called an hendecahedron.

With two tetrahedral dice labelled 1-4 the probability is zero as the maximum score possible is 8.With two cubical dice labelled 1-6, the probability is 6/36 = 1/6Other d&d dice (d8, d10, d12, d20) are left as an exercise for the reader.
