he is an adult or he wouldn't be living on his own and have a job and well he only goes to school because he doesn't have a drivers license so there he is an adult.I AGREE I TOLD MY LITTLE BROTHER THE SAME EXACT THING.

Actually, funny but good question. It confuses me that he acts like a little kid but he has a job and a house and a pet. But anyway getting off topic. I actually think Spongebob is a kid, because kids can sometimes do what Spongebob does. Technically, to be quite honest he is aged preteen. He is about 12 years old, anyway. But I think since the show is made for children, he is at least, supposed to be a kid.
