Thick strings with larger diameters vibrate slower than thinner strings.
In my opinion, electric guitar strings gets out of tune faster because the strings are not as thick as acoustic guitar strings. So, thicker strings make it stay in tune longer.

The harder you pluck the strings, the louder they get. You can change the pitch by using thick or thin strings
