However, to make an odds bet, you have to have first made a Pass/Don't Pass bet. These are the next "best" bets in craps, at NEARLY fair odds (Don't Pass is marginally "better," but you're not going to be very popular at the table if you're consistently betting the Dark Side). Also, the size of your odds bet is generally limited to some multiple of your Pass/Don't Pass bet.
