What happens if you put acetone on an American girl doll?

Well I have never tried it but my friend did. She said look how pretty they turned out! I thought they looked very pretty, but a few days later she wanted to take off the nail polish. When she did the color of the american girl doll's nail and partly her finger came off. She was so upset! So I told her about the American Girl Doll hospitle and she sent her off. A few days to a week or so she got her back good as new! That's why you should never paint the nails on your american girl doll.

it will not ruin the doll, the nail polish part is ok, its just taking it off. when you put the nail polish remover, apply only where needed and very lightly so that the dolls original paint wont come off!
