Do you mean "MDF" wood?

MDF stands for medium density fiber board. This is a very even man-made material consisting of very fine sawdust, glue, and other chemicals. It's tightly compressed and does not have any wood grain pattern to it. It's usually brownish-grey in color and commonly ranges in thickness from 1/4 inch to 1 inch. It is relatively inexpensive, although heavier than most real wood. You can buy it at most home improvement stores in 4'x8' sheets.

Most MDF is not an environmentally friendly material, and it is very harmful to breath in the dust created when cutting or shaping it.
