It's game traditionally played between two people, the object being to correctly to select a hand gesture dominant to the one the opposing player picks. It is usually played to settle some form of disagreement. On the count of three, the two players select between three possible gestures, either choosing "rock", "paper", or "scissors". Each gesture consists of forming one of your hands into a predetermined shape. The most common forms of these gestures follows as such:

-"Rock" is performed by tightly clenching your fist into the shape of all ball
-"Paper" is performed by flattening your hand, all fingers touching, parallel to the ground
-"Scissors" is performed by taking your middle and index finger and forming a "V"

The game is usually won by winning two out of three rounds. The winner of Reaux-Sham-Beaux holds the power to settle the disagreement that the game was played for in any way he or she sees fit.

Note: A draw (where both players pick the same gesture) does not constitute a round.
