Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) primarily consists of methane (CH4), which typically makes up about 90-95% of its composition. It may also contain small amounts of other hydrocarbons, such as ethane, propane, and butane, as well as trace impurities like nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and water. The liquefaction process removes most of these impurities, resulting in a cleaner-burning fuel. LNG is used for energy generation, heating, and as a transportation fuel.
