The nvidia geforce 8800gtx has been superseeded by the nVidia 9800GX2 as the most powerful graphics card (March 2008). It is two 9800GTX's sandwiched together with a single heatsink in the middle. This in turn makes this a very hot GPU and requires good case cooling. It is also very, very expensive.
