Model makers would prepare up to a dozen dolls for each episode, all of which were destroyed during filming. Being made of soft clay it is doubtful any "originals" have survived over the years. The immortality of Mr. Bill is in his ready re-creatability.

Elmer was a one-of-a-kind doll created by doll artist Michael Langton. The doll was created specially for this movie. Mr. Langton created a limited edition replica around 1998. The edition size was to be 2500 but only about 30 were actually made and sold. The original doll that they did not use in the movie is in a museum in Bellevue Washington, and the unit for the movie remains with Michael Langton. The 25 replicas that were created are sold...but has a few left.
