Green Lynx Spider
An Arrowhead spider is brown with a green back. This spider is also known as a Triangle Orb Weaver. This spider is not venomous.
Hi! I found a spider similar to the one you're describing on a lavender plant in my Southern California garden. It appears to be a Western variation of the Peucetia Viridans or Green Lynx Spider, see here http://bugguide.net/node/view/30278.
red + blue = purple blue + yellow = green red +yellow = orange orange +blue = brown yellow + purple = brown red + green = brown
The spider you are describing is likely a green lynx spider. They are known for their bright lime green bodies and sometimes have dull yellow legs. Green lynx spiders are typically found in North and Central America.
Spiders are all colors (and they change color when the moult to camouflage themselves better!)
