Gromril Armour grants them a 4+ armour save. Then there's the shield for a 3+, and when hit from the front in close combat they get another +1 to their amour save from the handweapon/shield combo, thereby granting them a total of 2+ (in close combat, when hit from the front).
Dwarf armor was available in the War Shop at WarDwarf its not available now sorry.
It should mean armor save such as 3+
I think this is the the strongest armor in final fantasy revenant wings. . .GOLDEN MAIL
A warhammer is typically heavier than other medieval weapons like swords and axes due to its design for crushing armor.
In Warhammer Fantasy the armor save is either nothing or could be as low as 0 or -1 what this means is that if you get hit with a Normal weapon and the model with that weapon has a strength of 3 then you have to roll on a D6 equal to or higher than your armor save. BUT if you roll a 1 that is an auto fail. Also watch out for weapons that do not allow armor saves. For each strength above 3 that is an additional -1 to an armor save e.g. Strength 4 is a minus 1, Strength 5 is a minus 2, Strength 6 is a minus 3, ect. In order to modify a 1+ armor save into a 5+ armor save you would have to be hit by a weapon that has a strength of 7 which is difficult to obtain, or a magic weapon that gives a armor penalty, e.g. a Blade of Slicing gives a minus 2 armor save which would bring your armor save to a 3+ save and then the character you are facing is also strength 5, the strength 5 makes your 1+ armor a 3+, then because his weapon is Blade of Slicing it subtracts another 2 so the 3+ then becomes a 5+
you don't
Mostly plasteel and ceramite. Look here http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Power_Armour
In a medieval-themed role-playing game, characters can wear different types of fantasy armor such as plate armor, chainmail, leather armor, and scale armor. Each type offers varying levels of protection and mobility for the character.

Yes, in fact there are copy-right issues. For example, the drop pod idea, marine armor, power armor and a few of the names were directly taken out of 40k material. Hell, the marines took their armor from the bloody Imperial Guard.
For looks of course. You gotta have cool looking armor when you play a final fantasy
A thief can get it using Brigidine armor.
