faulty choke mechanism The "engine electronics"lamp comes on when the ECU detects a fault with one of the components it monitors. It does not tell you what is wrong, just that there is a fault with a sensor or a component. You are expected to visit a vauxhall dealer to Have your ECU interrogated by a diagnostic computer,to reveal the stored fault. This,as I keep repeating is usually the quickest and cheapest way in the long run. Yes,you can do it yourself by substituting sensors etc until you stumble on the right one but this can be expensive as most are not returnable. Quick guess===As yours is hard to start, the coolant sensor may not be telling the ECU to enrich the fuel injected to fire up.
