From the Tempur-Pedic FAQ:
We recommend you do not use either electric blankets or heating pads with our mattresses. The TEMPUR® material responds to your body temperature, and the additional heat from electric blankets or heating pads causes the mattress to respond to that heat instead of conforming to your body. Longer periods of exposure to the heat from electric blankets or heating pads may damage the mattress.
Once you lie down, the mattress will quickly respond to your body heat and feel warmer.
It is not recommended to place a heated mattress pad directly over a featherbed. The heat generated by the mattress pad can potentially damage the feathers in the featherbed, causing them to break down or lose their loft over time. It is best to use the heated mattress pad directly on top of the mattress, underneath any additional bedding layers such as a featherbed.
If you put it over the memory foam, it get hot whiels you sleep so i say put it under
You will be able to find really nice latex pads to put on your mattress at Overstock.com. They offer many different types with incredible prices.
A featherbed goes under the bottom (fitted) sheet. Even better, to protect it, put the featherbed directly on top of the mattress, then put a mattress protector/pad on top of the featherbed, then the fitted sheet. The mattress pad can be regulary washed while many feather beds are not washable, even if made from synthetic materials.
If you have ever slept on a sofa bed, you know just how uncomfortable they can be. It seems like the mattress is paper thin and the bars dig into the small of your back. You can make your sofa bed much more comfortable by adding a mattress pad to it. Here are a few simple guidelines to selecting the right mattress pad for you. Step 1: Look for a mattress pad with extra padding. This is most commonly called a pillow top, because of the thick, quilted padding it has. These mattress pads are a good choice for a sofa bed that is uncomfortable, because of the added softness and extra cushioning. A good mattress pad will have elastic at least on all four corners, if not the entire pad itself. This is beneficial because it will help hold the mattress pad to the mattress itself when you fold up the sofa bed. It also helps keep the mattress pad from slipping off the sofa bed during a normal night of changing sleeping positions. Step 2: Look for good quality mattress pads in stores where they sell quality pillows, sheet sets, comforters, blankets and other fine linens. Step 3: Check the density of the mattress pad you are thinking of purchasing. A quality mattress pad should be around four pounds per cubic foot. If possible choose one that has extra foam that runs down the middle, as this is a common uncomfortable area on a sofa bed. This will be helpful in eliminating soreness from sleeping on a metal bar. Step 4: Choose a mattress pad that you can put a washable cover on. We all know that food or drink can and will be inadvertently spilled on a sofa and fall through onto the sofa bed mattress and mattress pad. Selecting a quality mattress pad can help anyone who sleeps on the sofa bed get a restful night’s sleep and wake up in the morning refreshed, not achy and sore. A well-fitting, comfortable mattress pad on a not-so-comfortable sofa bed can make the difference between a difficult and a good night’s rest. Your guests will be grateful for the mattress pad when they awaken the next morning.
Yes, but it will sleep hot! Having a pad over a good memory foam mattress defeats the purpose of buying a good mattress set. You can use a mattress protector that has been specially made to dissipate the heat see your local mattress store for the paper thin protector.
Wool mattress pads can be washed gently in the washer and then air dried in the sun. I would not recommend any other cycle other that gentle..and deffinately do not put in the dryer.. wool will always shrink some wool toppers accomodate for shrinkage so that they can be washed. You may hand wash a wool mattress pad or wash on gentle in the washer, but it must be air dried in order to prevent shrinkage. Drying in the sunshine helps increase the life of the mattress pad.

Yes, you can use an electric blanket with a memory foam mattress topper. You might actually enjoy the feel of the mattress more when using an electric blanket because they often times feel different depending on the tempurature.
I would suggest looking for a mattress protector that does not have a plastic surface. Memory foams tend to collect heat and you wouldn't' want the plastic to trap the heat. Look for a breathable mattress cover.

Yes, you can place an air mattress on a box spring. However, it's important to ensure that the box spring is in good condition and provides adequate support. Keep in mind that air mattresses can shift and may not conform well to the box spring's surface, potentially affecting comfort and stability. Using a fitted sheet or mattress pad can help keep the air mattress in place.
