The Cheyenne Indians traditionally lived in large, portable tipis made of buffalo hides stretched over a wooden frame. These structures were well-suited for their nomadic lifestyle, allowing them to easily relocate in search of buffalo herds. The interior of a tipi was typically arranged to accommodate family members, with a fire in the center for warmth and cooking. In winter, they also used earth lodges, which provided better insulation against the cold.
The Cheyenne Indians lived in Teepee's cause they were very easy to pack up so they can follow the herds of buffalo. They could have a whole camped packed up within minutes. The women often helped pack items such as the buffalo skin around the teepee's.
