"Turn down service" is offered at many hotels and is usually complimentary. In the evening hour a housekeeper comes into the room and turns down a bedspread, sometimes at an inviting angle exposing the pillow. Often, the service person leaves a wrapped chocolate on the pillows.

To pump down an AC compressor, first turn off the system and shut off the refrigerant supply at the service valves. Connect a vacuum pump to the service port on the low-pressure side and turn it on to evacuate the refrigerant from the system. Monitor the pressure gauge until it reaches a desired low level, typically around 20 inches of mercury. Finally, close the service valves and turn off the vacuum pump.
With ignition key off, hold down the odmeter trip reset button, while still holding it down, turn the key on to ignition position (so dash light come on) & keep holding it down for approx 5 seconds, it will then turn the serice indicator off.
Put key in ignition then push down on the mileage reset and hold it down then whilst holding it down turn ignition round till only ignition lights come on. The spanner or service light will either start flashing or do a count down when it stops that's it reset for its next service in miles then turn ignition off and release the mileage trip. Start engine and light should be off as its reset. I have just saved you money from going to a dealership.
turn key to position two. with in 4 seconds press left side nob twice. turn off the key. hold down left and up and turn on the key to position to again. hold down until there's a beep. that's it!
Hold in the oddometer reset stalk then turn the key into the on position, without starting. Then watch it count down to zero on the display and reset to 20k
Turn down, they get the bed ready to get in, loosen abedspread flip a corner of the duvet back. Make up is when they clean, empty the waste baskets, make the bed up snug and tight.
Perhaps it stands for turn down service (preparing the beds for bed time), but that's just a guess.
