There's plenty, it's a great location for whatever you want. Shopping, the Algarve Mall with loads of shops including many upmarket is at Guia, 5 minutes by car. Also at Guia is the chicken piri piri restaurants, but this is the proper stuff, not just tourist stuff, don't miss it. And whilst you are here, Cliff Richards vineyard where you can get a tour and a sample, it's good stuff, the rose taking top awards in Portugal. Incidentally, Valle de Parra translates as Valley of Grapes, this is vineyard territory. Talking of food, there's restaurants everywhere from a minutes walk to as far as you want to go, even a 2 star Michellin restaurant minutes away but expect prices to match! Days out. There is Zoomarine less than ten minutes away and frequent coaches if you don't have a vehicle, further afield there are the water parks, Slide and Splash etc. which are good fun, go carting, biking, watersports, 4x4 off road trips, dolphin spotting, the mountains of Monchique, the regular hippy markets... stacks to do, if you want it. Beaches, loads, with-in minutes, long ones for extended walks to tiny coves and the beach bars are great too. Night life. Albufeira, 5 kilometers and you have all the atmosphere of the famous square or the hustle and bustle of, maybe for the younger folk, The Strip. Or you can just chill at your apartment. It's a great location for all the area has to offer so you can dip in, and out, as you please.
