I found a web site for that... The 1944 & 1944 d are worth .03 cents & the 1944 s is worth .04 cents.
The coin can reach that value but it has to be in uncirculated condition.

Check that coin again. There were no US silver dollars minted that year (or decade).
You would need to get it appraised by a coin dealer. 1944 the US was making pennies out of steel.. and they are very rare.
