As citizens, the rights and responsibilities of Israel's Arab citizens are the same as all other Israeli citizens, with one exception: Arab citizens of Israel are not required to do military service.
Arab citizens of Israel have full voting rights, and have elected several Arabs to seats in the Knesset (Israel's parliament).
At the present time (mid-2010), about 20% of the population of Israel is comprised of ethnic Arabs. They are citizens of Israel, with the rights and responsibilities of all other citizens, except that they are not responsible for military service. Along with other citizens, Arab citizens of Israel have the right to vote in the elections if they so choose; Arabs have been elected and occupy seats in the Knesset ... Israel's parliament.
Israeli
Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East. The government is elected by vote of all citizens.'All citizens' means every religion, every ethnic origin, and every gender. Jews, Muslims, Christians,Arabs, ex-Europeans, ex-Yemenites, ex-Ethiopians, Americans, men, and women. All citizens.
Yes, Lebanese citizens are generally not allowed to travel to Israel due to political tensions between the two countries.
The term refers to Arabs who chose to become Israeli citizens after Israel became a nation (again) in 1948. Arabs and Jews comprise the two largest ethnic groups in Israel (Jews obviously make up a larger percentage of the population). Note that they are not Palestinians. Arabs in Israel have full rights that Jews have.
Palestinians is a nickname of the Arabs that lives in Israel but are not Israel citizens. There is no war between to them and the Arabs. Maybe you meant the war between the Arabs and the Jews.
its Israel and the surrounding countries and its because the Arabs say Israel belongs to them
Israel is a democracy and Israeli Arabs vote like everyone else. They have a number of seats in Israel's parliament. No one is suggesting that Israel should interfere in this system, whatever the outcome.
No, Israel is a democracy. In Israel there are some different religions, the biggest one in Israel is Judaism. Israel is 20% Arabs, 9% Christians,1.7% Druze, all the rest is Muslims although there are few Adygs. Also,3.5% of Israel are "others" (can be any religion).Important:-- Israel has no official state religion.-- There is no religious "test" for citizenship.-- All citizens have equal rights and responsibilities, including the vote.EXCEPT: All Jewish and Druze citizens are required to do military service, but Muslim and Christian citizens are not.
It depends on who you mean by "the Arabs". If you are referring to Arab citizens of any state, even Israel, then most Arab land-holdings are in the Galilee region in the north of Israel, although there is a significant Arab population with land-holdings in Haifa, Acre, and Jerusalem. If you are referring to Arab governments, the Arabs own no territory in the State of Israel. Hamas controls the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian Authority controls parts of the West Bank, neither of which are in sovereign Israeli territory.
Israel has a number of different types of Arabs, including: Arab Urban Muslims, Arab Christians, Bedouin Muslims, Druze Arabs, and Baha'i.
Israel claimed authority to lands that the Arabs believed should have been exclusively an Arab State.
