In 2007, the Breed Specific Legislation (BSL) tried to pass a law that would make people keep pit bulls muzzled when in public and in cages when at home. Luckily for pit bulls, Animal rights activists fought this and the law was not passed. For now there are no regulation in Baltimore County as a whole. Hopefully it will stay that way because it is unfair to overgeneralize dog bites like that. When we're not alowwed to persecute people in America, who knew we would begin persecuting man's best friend?
Pit bulls are illegal in Malheur County, however I don't believe they are illegal anywhere else in Oregon.

It's important for dog owners to check local laws and ordinances to ensure compliance. Overall, responsible ownership and proper training are emphasized for all breeds.
