No drinking age in California shouldn't be lower because teenagers aren't mature enough..
I disagree at the age of 18 an individual is considered an adult by society and having a drinking age higher than the age of majority only creates discrimination and a feeling of unjust to those at whom the law is aimed there are a couple of things i would like to point out they are as follows:
1. Every other country in the world has a drinking age at 18
2.Drinking at 18 will not damage your brain because if this were true everyone else in the world who began drinking at 18 (and that is everyone living in Another Country other than america) would have severe brain impairments as suggested by Madd (the ones responsible for the worst law in the history of this country)
3.The adult brain does reach full development as it relates to descision making until the mid twenties to thirties(25-30 yrs of age) so this is a clear contradiction to what mothers against drunk driving say that 21 is a right age the fact is the right age for this society is 18 because that is the age of majority.
4. To the misguided soccer mom who wrote that teenagers arent mature enough i have a few words for you. At the age of 18 you are for mature enough to serve as an adult for every aspect of society for e.g (military, vote, jury duty,go to adult prision etc)
Here are educated arguments for lowering the drinking age
The minimum drinking age in California is 21.
the drinking age was 21
They do not object to a lower drinking age, but neither do they support lowering the MLDA.
They are not lowering the drinking age to 18. The minimum purchase and drinking age is a state law. Each individual U.S. state establishes by law the minimum age at which an individual may purchase alcoholic beverages. The U.S. Government passed the National Minimum Drinking Age Act on July 17, 1984. This did not change the drinking age. However, it forced the individual states to establish the minimum drinking age as 21 or lose 10% of their federal highway funding. The minimum drinking age is 21 in all 50 U.S. states.
21
Lowering the drinking age would mean more people paying for alcohol. Because all alcohol is taxed, more people paying for it means more taxation revenue.
By lowering the drinking age to 18 and pretending like alcohol is a horrible thing and should not be touched.

Some topics to discuss or have arguments about for 7th grade students might include the topic of cellphone use in cars, texting while driving, lowering the driving age, lowering the drinking age, and even whether or not students should have lockers in school. Another good topic might include the death penalty for crime.
Yes, because it increases the available customer base.
No because that would mean more drinking!
When I was eighteen, I thought it should be lowered. Now I believe it should be raised to twenty-five!
