Maine Coon Cats can be outdoor cats. As long as you keep a collar or an id chip on them it will be fine. You will however, be dealing with sopping wet fur at times if it has rained. But without seeing the outdoors all cats breeds, pure or mixed will get annoyed. Even if you keep your cat on a harness / leash at least let him outside. Maine Coon Cats will do no harm yet you might want to brush out its coat right after it gets back in.
