If caught driving without proof of insurance and convicted is this considered a misdemeanor?
What is meant by 'convicted felons?' Are you now free after serving your time? Are you on parole or probation?
You can be convicted for number of faults if you are driving without a driving license. For example you can also be convicted for not having insurance. Because driving without valid driving license invalidates your insurance also.
Yes. ESPECIALLY for probation violations. If you were on probation you were already convicted of a crime. When you violate the terms of your sentencing (probation) you can be sent to jail without passing "go." How many bites at the apple do you think the judge is going to give you?

It depends on the conditions of probation. Often, a condition of probation is that the felon can't leave the state without permission. Further, another frequent condition of probation is that the felon can't associate with other felons. If you have a document that outlines the conditions of your probation, read it carefully for these conditions. If you don't have the document in question (and I know this probably isn't what you want to hear), ask your probation officer if this is permissible. It's the only way to know for sure.
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety does not use a point system for driver citations. If you are driving without insurance, your license can be suspended, revoked or canceled.
Yes, the person has been duly convicted and sentenced for a crime. A person leaving the state where probation was imposed without proper authorization is considered a fugitive from justice and is subject to extradition procedure.
In addition to California law that makes possession of a firearm by a convicted felon a STATE felony, Federal law prohibits possession, and requires a 5 year sentence, without probation or parole.
Depends on what you were charged with. An SR 22 IS insurance- insurance for high risk drivers, such as people convicted of DUI, driving without insurance, etc. It will not hurt, may not help a whole lot, depending on your record. But will help some.
You would both have to check with your Parole Officers. Some probation sentences place a restriction on you against "consorting with" known criminals. If either of you have that restriction, it could be a problem. Check it out with your PO.
