In Hindu customs, marriages within the same gotra are generally discouraged, as it is believed to be akin to marrying within the same family. However, practices can vary based on community, region, and personal beliefs, so it is essential to consult with family or community elders for specific guidance.

In Hindu culture, a gotra refers to a lineage or clan within which one's ancestors are traced. Tiwari is a gotra, while Bhardwaj is another separate gotra. Gotras are important in determining familial relationships and marriage eligibility within Hindu communities. Shaashan, on the other hand, typically refers to governance or rule and is not directly related to the concept of gotras.
The kuldevi of the Bhardwaj gotra is typically considered to be Goddess Durga or a form of Shakti, though it can vary among different families and regions. Many Bhardwaj gotra families also worship specific local deities or temples that hold personal significance. It's important for individuals to consult their own family traditions or elders for precise information regarding their kuldevi.
