There are five regions in California.

1. Northern Coast: The region of Northern Coast has wet and rough beaches.

2. Southern Coast: The rains are scarce in this area.So the beaches are sunny and sandy.

3. Mountains: Mountains are generally covered with snow. This Region has forests, rivers and lakes. Yosemite National Park is located in this region.

4. Central Valley: The farm lands are irrigated well in this region. The Mercy Hot Springs, of this region has naturally heated mineral water.

5. Desert: This area is very hot and dry during the summer and freezing during winter nights. The desert is the home for many animals, mostly nocturnal. Death Valley National Park is well known for tourism
