There is no king or queen of England. The title was abolished in 1707.
yes, but she can't become queen
no, that is not correct. He can still be King after his mother dies. There is nothing that says that a divorced person can not be king or Queen. Camilla on the other hand might not be Queen Consort though
The King of England and the King of Scotland were the same person. And they still are.
Last king of what? There are still kings today. Queen Elizabeth's heir will be king of England. Sweden has a king. There are other countries that are still monarchies.
Queen Elizabeth ll ruled England in 1989, and still is as we speak. The last King of England was George Vl who died in 1952
England had an empire still, there was a prime minister in charge of the country, there was a ceremonial king/queen, it was still called England, guns were still used, English people still spoke English, and the people still believed in the Church of England.
William was crowned king of England. He couldn't be king of Normandy because it was, and still is, part of France; and the king of France would not have allowed that.
Yes, but they aren't ruling yet:(
Yes. I have seen no suggestion that his divorce or remarriage is a problem. Henry VIII divorced and remarried several times. Please use capitals for names such as England. Actually, Henry VIII annulled his marriages - this is what led to the break of the English monarchy with the Catholic Church (the Pope would not approve his "annulments" ). The English then created the Church of England, of which the reigning monarch is the head. It is one of the tenets of the church of England that a divorced man or woman cannot be head of the Church of England. I'm sure they have thought of a way to get around this, but it is a problem.
Fine legal difference- she was not divorced- her marriage to Henry was annulled (declared invalid, never happened) by the Church of England. Handily enough, King Henry had declared himself to be the head of the Church.
No, his grandmother is still queen and the next in line is his father.
