Of course they can. The color is just color. I have 8 parakeets in a huge cage 2 green ones 2 blue ones a lutino (all yellow) an albino (all white) and a lace wing that is blue and white and also a solid white with black tips on wings/head. They all get along great 5 boys and 3 girls.
if you mean catch a parakeet and put it in a cage in the zoo , then yes.
. . . in a cage would be smart
if you have more than one
If you're asking how to introduce them, here's how. Take them out and put them in a different cage. Keep them there for a few days, then put them in the old cage. make sure you have two food and water dishes-- one for each of them. Then, they will not get territorial and fight to the death. Or, you could just put a cage divider in until they get used to each other.
Yes some say it will quiet the bird.
maybe not . . .I think
We used to put a piece of celery top--the leafy part--in the cage for ours.
Probably in the corner or next to a window. Somewhere it would have its own space.
it either doesnt like you or it has a certain need or problem.
Unless the birds were raised together you will have a dead parakeet or parrolett. Parroletts are VERY VERY territorial and unless raised together the parrolett will try to chase off or kill your parakeet.
I have a parakeet too. Here's what you do: Just put a blanket; towel; etc. over it's cage when you want it to go to sleep. make sure all light is out of it's cage. simple! hope i helped
I have a parakeet . The answer is NO!!! It will over heat them or scare them half to death.
