LAX-Lacrosse has its origins in a tribal game played by all eastern Woodlands Native Americans and by some Plains Indians tribes in what is now Canada. The game has been modernized extensively by European immigrants to create its current form.
Lacrosse and Hurling are two examples.

afvcketv (pronounced ah-futch-kitt-uh). This is a stick game similar to the Iroquois game of Lacrosse.
Lacrosse-style games were played by the Ojibwe/Chippewa, Hurons, Miami, Penobscot, Sac and Fox, Shawnee, Skokomish and Winnebago tribes. All of these are eastern tribes of North America except the Skokomish, a Salishan tribe of western Washington state.
The Eastern Woodlands Native Americans tried their best to survive using the natural resources available.
