I saw a large coyote/ wolf/ husky, standing in the snow on route 287 where it merges with route 208 in Oakland. He looked like he was trying to cross. 12/23/08, 11:00 p.m. , I don't know if maybe they come down from Mawah and upstate n.y.

Like the answer above, numerous people have sighted wolves in Northern New Jersey. Even though there is a chance they are not wolves, (coyotes, wolf-hybrids), wolves were at one time in New Jersey. Eventually, they would have to come back.
