Yes. Not because you are likely to miscarry, (lifting things does not cause miscarriage),but because your ligaments are softened by the pregnancy hormones making a back or joint strain more likely. Believe me (from painful experience) you do NOT want to strain your back when you are trying to balance a bump on your front.
This depends on if you were lifting things from day one. If you are use to say lifting 50lbs at a time then lifting 50lbs will not bother you nor the baby at 5months. But if you do not do any lifting, then it isn't a good idea to up and start lifting things that are heavy. Most doctors would say not to lift over 20lbs. That is about the weight of a toddler.
for about two months.......ive had one b4 so i knw these things
Sure. Just be careful of big waves and things like that. Many pregnant women find that standing in the water relieves some of the discomfort for a bit.
You don't have to live in a plastic bubble or baby yourself, but for the first 3 - 4 months you should be very careful about lifting things too heavy. Straining is a no-no. It shouldn't hurt you to mow the lawn as long as you have an electric lawn mower, but gas mowers can be heavy and if the mower hits something or goes on it's side you may just strain yourself. If in doubt, don't do it! Congratulations Marcy
Parents back usually hurt from a lot of different things. It could be from putting up the children so much, lifting things all the time or it could be because you are pregnant and about to be a parent.
Yes, if lifted the wrong way or if the things are too heavy. There are different ways for men and women to go about lifting things, as well.
lifting things
Dear Friend, there is no such criterean for weight lifting while someone is pregnant. It depends on her health and type of weight she lifts e.g. If a female is weak by physical condition (already suffering from some disease, health illness, underweight etc) she must avoid lifting even a small house hold water tub as it can affect the fetus. Secondly, the style of lifting the weight is also important e.g. bending to toes and atonce lifting the weight can cause backache or damage back bone. The best answer to this confusing question can be given by the doctor after looking the physical condition of the pregnant lady. So until that, avoid lifting any type of weight. waseemsafder@hotmail.com
mainly if ur pregnant but other things can cause that too, like stress
morning sickness is one thing that can happen and mood swings are another.
