Australia, like many Commonwealth countries has a Junior Farmers Club, which is very similar to America’s 4-H clubs

A. B. Graham started one of the youth programs in Mississippi in 1902, which is considered the birth of the 4-H program in the United States. The first club was called "The Tomato Club" or the "Corn Growing Club".
The start time for 4-H meetings or events can vary widely depending on the specific club or location. Typically, 4-H meetings are held in the evening or on weekends to accommodate members' schedules. It’s best to check with your local 4-H club or organization for the exact time of their events.
4-H MeetingsGoing to 4-H depends on when your local club meets Some people go to 4-H on certain days, like the first Sunday of every month. Others meet every week on a certain day and time. Meeting times and how often to meet is decided by each individual local club
4-H is an organization that teaches resposibility through its programs. This is generaated even more through its clubs. A 4-H club has meetings anywhere from once a week/every other week or month to discuss new 4-H news, information, and resources. Meetings start with pledges then usually lead into a short meeting which is followed by either a guest speaker, working on a community project, completion of 4-H projects, or just chatting in general. This is also where you would receive your green record books/manuals and project information. If you don't have time to attend meetings you can sign up under "independent study" (depending upon what state you're in). Indepent Study makes you (the parent) the leader which means you would sign all the records sheets as the "leader of your club" Being in a 4-H Club is not required when joining 4-H. Or, if you get tired of the club you are in, you can switch and join another club. Hope this helped! ~ Nicole K. - Indiana 4-H Club Leader

Yes. The Club has a website and I will supply a link.
Start by looking for your local 4-H club and contacting them. Your local county extension office should have their information. There are 4-H clubs and county extension offices are located all throughout the US.
Finding a 4-H Club to JoinIn rural areas, you can go to your local County Extention Office. They should have a list of the clubs and leaders in your county. I assume it's the same in urban areas. See related links below. Click on Join 4-H for contact information in each state.
