Every point on Earth has a different set of latitude and longitude coordinates. -- California spans all latitudes between about 32.53° and 42° north. -- New York state spans all latitudes between about 40.48° and 45.02° north. -- California's northern border is 3.02° south of New York's. -- California's southern border is 7.95° south of New York's. -- California's total north/south extent spans 208.6% of the latitude range of New York's. Past that, we're not sure what you're looking for, but here's the data.
London is farther north than New York City. London's latitude is approximately 51.5 degrees north, while New York City's latitude is around 40.7 degrees north. This means that London is about 10.8 degrees farther north than New York City.

Well, here's the story: You haven't mentioned whether you're talking about the Jamestown in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, or West Virginia. And you also neglect to mention whether you're interested in 35° north latitude or 35° south latitude ... different places ! Some of those Jamestowns are north of 35° north latitude, and the rest are south of 35° north. And these are only the ones in the USA ! There are other Jamestowns in other countries. Some of those are north of 35° south latitude but south of 35° north latitude. Others are south of both 35° south and 35° north. It's just too complicated to try and give you one sensible answer. The answer would not be a problem if I had a reasonable question to work with.
I think the best answer is probably yes. Latitude is the measurement of the globe, the Earth, horizontally from the Equator to the poles. Longitude is the vertical measurement from pole to pole running East & West from the Prime Meridian, 0 degrees, which runs North/South through Greenwich, London. Any place therefore on the Earth has both a Latitude & Longitude. These measurements are listed in a Gazetteer. If New York, for example was, say 50 degrees north of the Equator, all places 50 degrees north have the same latitude, irrespective of where they are in terms of their longitude. If New Yorks' longitude is say, 70 degrees West ( I have no idea, without looking it up just where New York is) then all points on the Earth, both due north or south of New York have the same Longitude. ok so New York is 76 degrees & 42 degrees., just find out which is latitude & which isn't ! when you have done that find out the same measurements for, say,Paris.
The latitude difference between London, England and New York City is approximately 10 degrees. London is located at around 51.5 degrees north latitude, while New York City is located at around 40.7 degrees north latitude.
