Perth and Sydney are both great places but it depends which way your looking at it for ie. Sydney is a great tourist destination and it has far more tourists attractions but if you were looking for a job, Perth would be far more suitable, as it has lots of spare job vancancies and its a very nice to work in.

if you look at a map it is clearly west of Sydney if you are looking for the shortest rout head east if you really want to take the long way ( also more expensive )
