Hi,

Currently the British Army is ranked at #5 for the strength of the army, whereas the Turkish army is rated at #10.

One thing people get confused with is QUANTITY and QUALITY.

Turkey is a larger country than Britain, therefore giving Turkey the edge in quantity (manpower), but how well trained are their troops?

Britain is a smaller country, however British troops are considered to go through some of the most intense training in the world, therefore giving Britain the edge in quality.

*NOTE* This is only a example of the differences between quality and quantity.

Quality and Quantity can be equal in someways, as 100 Turkish troops against 50 British troops may end up equal. As the British may have gone through much more extreme training, one british troop may equal two Turkish troops.

Britain is also well known for there most elite force, the SAS (Special Air Service), the SAS is considered the most lethal unit in the world, as SAS training is VERY intense.

Conclusion

My conclusion is that both armies are equal considering the quality and quantity, it also depends on how much technology and information each army has.

Hope this helped!
