It depends on where you live in Nevada. Nevada's child labor laws do contain any requirement that minors 14 years of age or over obtain a work permit. However, some county do require minors, including 17 year olds, to get permits, at least in some cases. One example of this is Clark County. If you live in Clark County you can contact the Department of Juvenile Justice Services, Work Permit Unit, 601 North Pecos Road, Las Vegas, NV 89101 (702) 455-5235. If you live in another county, you will probably need to contact their offices to determine if a work permit is needed.
