Iraq wanted some of Kuwaits oil profits. But Kuwait rufused the comment. that is when Iraq sent in hid troops
The economy of Kuwait is a mixed economy. The government owns and controls almost everything, but there are also room for a free market and not so regulated capitalism. The system could remind of socialism because they give public services.
The destruction of Kuwait's oil wells during the Gulf War in 1991 led to significant environmental damage, primarily through the release of large quantities of crude oil into the surrounding desert and the Persian Gulf. This resulted in extensive soil and water contamination, harming local ecosystems and wildlife. The oil spills also caused severe air pollution from the burning wells, contributing to health hazards for nearby populations and long-term atmospheric impacts. The environmental recovery from this disaster has been slow and complex, with lasting effects on both the region's ecology and public health.
As the name implies, the Persian Gulf War was fought for control of the Persian Gulf. Most of the modern world runs on oil, and most of the world's oil comes comes out of the Persian Gulf on supertankers. Ergo, the Persian Gulf is a very important body of water which Iraq threatened to take control of in 1990, as Iraq had already done with the neighboring country of Kuwait. The main idea of the Persian Gulf War was to prevent Iraq from gaining a choke hold on the world's oil supply.
